Jackson Hole has countless annual events and festivals, no matter the season.

There's always something going on in Jackson Hole, whether it's a holiday celebration or a summer concert. Explore the top annual events here:

Winter

Town Square Tree Lighting

This holiday event is held right in Jackson Hole’s Town Square on the day after Thanksgiving. The Town Square Tree Lighting is the first official night of the holiday season, with cheerful music, the arrival of Santa Claus, and of course, the illumination of the famous elk antler arches.

Santa on the Square

Santa Claus arrives on Town Square at the annual Tree Lighting, but he sticks around for several weeks throughout December to spread holiday cheer to the families of Jackson Hole. Check out Santa on the Square to meet the man himself, along with Mrs. Claus and the elves.

Torchlight Parades

A special tradition in Jackson Hole is the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parades at each of the area’s ski resorts. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King Mountain, and Grand Targhee each host their own parade, which involve torch-bearing skiiers gliding down the mountain, creating a spectacular light show.

Spring

Snowmobile Hill Climb

Jackson Hole celebrates the end of the winter ski season with the Annual World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb. Thousands of spectators gather to watch snowmobilers attempt to race up the steep Snow King Mountain.

Jackson Hole Rendezvous

Jackson Hole Rendezvous is a free, three-day music festival in various outdoor locations throughout the town. Find the three concert stages at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, at Town Square, and at the Village Lot in Teton Village.

Old West Days

Bring out your inner cowboy at Old West Days, a ten-day festival celebrating Jackson Hole’s Old West culture and history on May 16-25, 2020. This festival packs in a ton of fun events, with many involving live music, family activities, and food & beverage vendors.

ElkFest

One of the most well-known events during Old West Days is the annual ElkFest on May 16-17, 2020. Each winter, thousands of elk gather at Jackson Hole’s National Elk Refuge, where they shed their antlers come spring. These leftover antlers are then harvested and auctioned at ElkFest, plus there are plenty of interactive competitions and refreshments to enjoy.

Million Dollar Music Fest

Another favorite Old West Days event is the Million Dollar Music Fest on May 24, 2020. Country music group Midland will be headlining this year’s free concert on Town Square, but there will be several opening acts to enjoy, too.

Summer

Rodeo

It’s not summer in Jackson Hole without the historic Jackson Hole Rodeos, which are Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer at 8pm, plus additional rodeos every Friday in July and August. Come see what the Wild West is all about at this legendary event.

Music on Main

There’s no better way to spend the summer than with free live music, and Jackson Hole has it every Thursday with Music on Main. This outdoor concert series in Victor City Park features a lineup of diverse musical artists and bands that are sure to entertain the whole family.

Jackson Hole Live

Come to Snow King Ball Park to celebrate Father’s Day at Jackson Hole Live! This concert series continues on specific Sundays throughout the summer, and it’s free for kids under 18 years old. Various bands will play each concert starting at 6:00pm.

Grand Teton Music Festival

Looking for even more live music in Jackson Hole? The 59th season of the Grand Teton Music Festival is July 3 – August 22, 2020, and it’s filled with talented singers, bands, and orchestras. Catch a show at Walk Festival Hall, right in the heart of Teton Village.

Fourth of July Parade

Celebrate Independence Day Jackson Hole style! The Fourth of July Parade is just one of many western-themed festivities on this holiday. There is also a pre-parade breakfast, live music, a rodeo, and nighttime fireworks.

Teton County Fair

Don’t miss the 64th Annual Teton County Fair on July 17-26, 2020. In addition to typical carnival rides, this county fair has some more unique activities- pig wrestling, figure 8 races, a rodeo, and Jackson Hole Ninja Warrior.

Fall

Fall Arts Festival
